Myriad was approached by the Harvard Center
for Cancer Prevention (HCCP) to create a visual identity
to support the Centers efforts to bring their research
knowledge to a wider audience, including physicians, patients
and their families, the scientific community and the press.
Because the Center promotes prevention as a principal approach
to cancer control, Myriad established an image that strikes
a balance between research and practicality. The new image
encourages readership and symbolizes the validity of their
information.
For the website component, Myriad helped develop an inventive
"Your Disease Risk" calculator which estimates
a users risk for cancer and other diseases and offers
personalized tips for prevention. The identity was implemented
in a folder system and fully scalable newsletter solution
that was distributed seasonally both in print and online
by the Center.
